Sony F65



The first European Sony F65RS - Only at Camalot

The Sony F65RS is a top-end digital cinema camera which uses a 20 million pixel 8K super-35 sensor.
By using an 8K CMOS sensor which outputs 4K, 2K or 1080p Sony was able to re-invent the Bayer pattern.
This results in true 4K resolution without the need for interpolation.
The camera has a mechanical shutter (besides the electronic shutter) which eliminates rolling shutter artifacts.

Alexa Studio



The ALEXA Studio is a 35mm digital camera featuring a quiet, adjustable mirror shutter and an optical viewfinder that provides a real-time, high contrast image with true colours. Another key feature of the ALEXA Studio is its 4:3 sensor, which makes it the only digital camera (aside from the ARRIFLEX D-21) to boast true anamorphic capability. Combined with the Codex Onboard Recorder, the Studio is capable of shooting 2880 x 2160 in ARRIRAW. Other resolutions include: 1920 x 1080 16:9 up to 120 fps and 1440 x 1080 4:3 up to 48 fps.

Oboard recording options include QuickTime/ProRes 4444/12bit or 422/10bit and (coming soon) Avid DNxHD 12bit.

Leica Summilux-C Lenses



Camalot is proud to receive a groundbreaking new line of PL mount primes designed to deliver ultra-high optical performance for film and digital capture. The set of T1.4 lenses employ a unique multi-aspheric design and high-precision cine lens mechanics to provide unmatched flat field illumination across the entire 35mm frame and suppression of color fringing in the farthest corners of the frame with no discernable breathing.

All Leica Summilux-C lenses share a uniform length, 95mm lens front, advanced focus scales, and similar location of focus and iris rings.
The mount and lens barrel are manufactured from high-strength titanium. Leica Summilux-C lenses weigh around 1.7kg.
Our set will initially consist of the 18, 21, 25, 35, 40, 75, 50, 100mm, with the 16, 65 and 135mm expected soon.
A second set has been ordered in order to provide these exceptional lenses for 3D shoots.

Canon EOS C300



Another new tool for filmmaking.

After the huge and unexpected success of the EOS 7D & 5D Mark II in the video market, Canon decided to combine the forces of their photo- and video- divisions. The result is the EOS C300 which uses an EF mount and the C300PL which uses a PL mount.

The C300 has a new Super 35mm size CMOS sensor which uses 3840 x 2160 photosites and that delivers full bandwidth RGB components without the need for debayering, which is normal when using CMOS sensors. The signal to noise ratio is very low and the dynamic range is 12 stops when using the Canon log gamma. The nominal ISO value when using Canon log is 850 and the maximum ISO value is 16000. The C300 sensor has a much faster read-out which minimizes the rolling shutter and moiré artifacts typical for the 7D & 5D mark II.

The camera uses a 50Mb/s 4:2:2 8bit codec and is capable of recording 25 frames per second at 1920x1080p or up to 50fps at 1280x720p.
The menu system is very intuitive and the camera has the industry standard HDSDI output, timecode in/out and is capable of recording two balanced audio channels.

Weisscam HS-II


Replacing our Weisscam HS-1, the new WEISSCAM HS-2 has a full Format Super35 CMOS Sensor with 600 ASA sensitivity. Capable of shooting 1.500fps in 2K, 2.000fps in 1080p and 4.000fps in 720p.

The RAW Signal outputs 12 bit uncompressed WEISSCAM RAW and the HD Signal outputs 10 bit YCbCr 4:2:2.

When shooting 2000fps @ 1080p you can record up to 6 seconds on the 32GB internal RAM, which translates to 8 minutes of footage.

Camalot Receives 3x Epic-M and 5x Epic-X


Camalot is the first European Rental House to receive the Epic-M.
We now have three Epic-M cameras available, with five Epic-X bodies getting ready for prime-time.

The Epic is the new 5K Digital Cinema camera from Red.

Red Epic


The first Epics have landed in Europe.
Camalot has received 3 Epic-M pre-production models and 5 production Epic-X bodies.

The Epic is capable of shooting 5K, or 5120 x 2700.
Most lower resolutions are disabled, but the Epic is currently able to shoot 5K FF (Full Frame), 5K 2:1, 4K 16:9, and 2K 2.4:1 RAW.

At full 5K resolution the Epic can shoot up to 96 frames per second and up to 300 fps when shooting in 2K.

The original Redcode compression format has been replaced with a simpler compression rate, ranging from 18:1 all the way up to 3:1. Ratio 10:1 is, roughly, equivalent to Redcode 28.

Eight Arri Alexa Cameras


Camalot now has 8 Arri Alexa camera's available for rent.
The Alexa is one of the most popular camera's at the moment, with many commercials, features and television productions being shot on Alexa.

With the advent of Software update 5.0, the Alexa is capable of shooting up to 120fps at 1080p 4:2:2 on our new 64GB SXS Cards and even 60fps at 3K (2880 x 1620) 4:4:4 on our Codex Recorder.

Sony PMW-F3


Seven Sony PMW-F3's are currently available.
Here, the F3 is pictured with a 32mm Cooke Panchro lens.

The PMW-F3 is equipped with a Super 35 CMOS image sensor, PL lens mount, and 32GB SxS cards for 1920 x 1080 full-HD recording. The PMW-F3 features RGB 4:4:4 output with S-LOG gamma for external recording to our Codex Digital Recorder.

The PMW-F3 has a small, compact body and weighs just 2.4 kg and comes with three BP-U60 battery, the same as used with the EX3.

Another new feature of the PMW-F3 is the 3D-LINK option which is especially convenient for 3D stereoscopic shooting. Two PMW-F3 cameras can be controlled by one camera remote controller at the same time.

Sony NXCAM FS-100


The NEX-FS100 is an interchangeable lens camcorder featuring a Super 35mm sensor equivalent in size to Super35mm film cameras.
The NXCAM Super35 features a Sony E-mount Interchangeable lens system, but thanks to its unusually shallow flange focal distance virtually any 35mm lens can be mounted via third-party adaptors.

The available E-mount lenses include an 18-200mm, 18-55mm, and a 16mm. With adaptors you are able to mount 35mm PL-mount, Canon EOS, Canon FD and Nikon lenses.

The FS100 records in AVCHD @ 1920x1080P and is capable of 50P recording at 24mbps.

Featuring a compact, lightweight body with detachable grip, handle, and viewfinder tube, the NXCAM Super35 can be configured for a wide range of shooting situations. Recording to the directly mountable 128GB Flash Memory unit allows continuous recording for over 10 hours.

Cooke Panchro Set


We have added a completely new set of lenses to our catalogue, the Cooke Panchro's.
Available as a set with an 18mm, 25mm, 35mm, 50mm, 75mm, and a 100mm, or as a set with the 50mm, 75mm, 100mm and the Cooke 15-40mm zoomlens.

All prime lenses are T-stop 2.8, with the same optical quality as the Cooke S4i's.

Codex Onboard Recorder

The Codex Onboard Recorder is the start of your file based workflow. It can record anything, from HD for television to the highest quality digital cinematography cameras.

The Codex Onboard can record uncompressed or wavelet cinema quality HD material – plus audio and metadata – onto a single, removable data pack. Simultaneously from two 4:4:4 cameras!

When shooting is done, it offloads material much faster than real-time – typically three to five times faster.
It weighs just 2.5Kg, making it ideal to mount on-camera.

Cooke 15-40mm

The Cooke S4/i 15-40mm CXX zoom lens offers great optical and mechanical performance for 35mm/Super 35mm formats.

The Variable Vignetting Stop allows the high speed CXX lens to maintain T2.0 and high resolution throughout the zoom range: no ramping and no flare.

Light and comparable in size to a Cooke S4/i prime telephoto lens, T2, Front Diameter 136mm and 3.6 kg

Panasonic AG-AF 101 Camcorder


The Panasonic AG-AF 101 is the first professional 4/3" large image video camcorder optimized for high-definition video recording. The 101 Records in 1080 (25p/24p) and 720 (50p), utilizing AVCCAM's PH mode (24Mbps). All our 101's are supplied with two 32GB SD Cards, for up to 6 hours of recording time.

As you can see on the right, our 101's are equipped with the new Vocas PL mounts for a sturdier lens attachment. It's also possible to attach Canon or Nikon mounts on the AF 101, in order to use photo lenses.

Ikonoskop A-cam dII

The A-cam dII by Ikonoskop is a super-lightweight 16mm Camera with PL Mount.
The Camera records to an internal SSD drive, available in 80GB and 160GB, at 240 mb/sec.
Footage is 1920 x 1080, RAW, 12bit.

Because the Ikonoskop has a PL Mount, all 16mm lenses, like the Zeiss Superspeeds or the Angenenieux 7-81mm zoom will fit.

The camera weighs just 1.5KG. Ideal for handheld shoots, or mountable on a Rig.

Red SSD

We're in the progress of updating all our Red's with the new 1.8" SSD Modules. Our camera's will now contain two 64GB SSD Drives, instead of four 16GB CF Cards. Optional 256GB SSD Drives will also be available.

Recording times on 4K will roughly be 40 minutes (64GB) or 160 minutes (256GB).

To meet the demand for small, lightweight and high quality monitors, Camalot now has four 5.6" TVlogic Monitors available. The VFM-056WP has an 1280x800 resolution and a built-in Waveform and Vectorscope.

With the 10mm Ultra Prime we now have the entire range available right here, at Camalot. From the extreme wide angle 8mm al the way up to the telephoto 180mm, all sixteen lenses are T1.9 and have an excellent image quality.
